The capital of Limburg is a compact city with a rich history. A lot of the well-known sights are near Chambre d’Hôte Rekko. Since our hotel is located in the Jekerkwartier you can enjoy the old influences which this old tanning neighbourhood has to offer. Certain tanning sections were depending on streaming water, which was supplied by the various Jekertakken in the southern part of this Medieval city. Some of the street names recollect of the activities practised in the late Medieval times till the 19th century.

The old tanning house has been converted into a cosy modern hotel. There are small references to past times all over the hotel, but if you really want to see what it was like we’ll take you to our basement where you can still see some remains of the tanning business.
