2nd Annual Conference of the EPIP Association

CIRCLE/Lund University – Sweden
September 20-21, 2007

Welcome to Lund

Lund is a city where a thousand years of history blends with modern knowledge and visions. You'll also find all the charm of a small town, side by side with the enticements and comforts of a major city.  Students from all over the world attend Lund's tradition-rich Lund University, adding a youthful pulse to Lund's cultural and entertainment scene.

Cathedral

Lund offers classical museums, art galleries and other sights. Theatres, music and lectures, inviting restaurants and cafés, can all be found within walking distance in Lund´s city centre.

The eastern districts of Lund - Dalby, Genarp, Södra Sandby and Veberöd - offer a mix of cultural experiences and beautiful natural surroundings. Suggestions for excursions to the eastern parts of Lund can be found under the heading "Beautiful Nature".

The City of Ideas
Lund, situated in the centre of the attractive and expansive Öresund region in southern Sweden, is one of the oldest cities in Sweden with a history more than one thousand years old. Over the centuries it has earned a reputation for being a place where people meet, and, today, more than ever, Lund is a meeting place for ideas and creativity.

Here, the university, science-park, multicultural atmosphere and historical surroundings make up a unique combination. This, along with its central situation, has turned Lund into an international city where ideas are born - ideas that build enterprises and achieve success both nationally and internationally.
